Hey everyone!
What a great time of the year! Spring is here and Lent leads to all the wonderful Friday Night Fish Frys! The sun is out and some of the flowers are peeking up through the ground. Renewal, my favorite time of year.
I have an Easter project for you. It did involve my Cricut, but I am sure YouTube has many videos on making paper baskets. So here it is:
Supplies:
Basic ones- scissors, glue or adhesive, tweezers
I used Recollections cs from Michael's,(white, purple, pink, yellow, brown and eggshell), flat backed pearls from China, wiggle eyes from my stash, Wilton treat sticks (Michael's), Tim Holtz rosette die, Big Shot, Cricut Easter basket, bunny, chick and rabbit, scalloped circles. (If you have punches and /or dies, you can certainly use those)
First I ran the rosette die and 4 colors of cs through the Big Shot and made the rosettes. Then cut the scalloped circles and animals (I cut two of the animals for each rosette and glued together to give more strength) with the Cricut Design Space software. Depending on the size of the scalloped circles, I cut a plain circle in the same color as the rosette slightly smaller than the scallop. That circle finishes off the back. adhere the rosette to the front of the scallop. Decorate the critters and adhere to the front of the rosette. Add the treat stick with glue to a fold inside the rosette. You can tie ribbon to the stick.
The basket was cut with my Cricut in Design Space, as was the rabbit and the grass. I assembled the basket and I cut 4 pieces of the grass in 2 colors of green and layered them on the front of the basket. Decorate the bunny and adhere to the front.
Put the rosettes in the basket! Fun times!!
Happy crafting,
Denise

Hope your week is going great so far. I have an interesting card that was a bit of a challenge, but came out really cute! It's called a Twisted Gatefold Card.
This will fit in an A7 size envelope, perhaps a bit larger. What a good challenge for folding, and I needed the practice!
Supplies I used:
Recollections card stock- white and paper pads Festive Pinks and Pink Champagne
The flower and pearl are from my stash
The stamp and ink are Newborn Baby by Stampendous and Archival Ink in Vibrant Fushia
The YouTube video I used for this card is:
Here is the inside of the card:
Beautiful all occasion card. Check out the video and make one of these, and remember the folds should be as spot on as you can make them. It ensures your card will fold just right.Have fun and happy crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge # 386
Hi everyone!
It's challenge time! There's a Design Team challenge for you that features our sponsor Cute as a Button Stamps. The design team has come up with a few inspirational creations of our own for you to check out. Head on over to Challenge #386 to get ready!
For this card I used this darling digi stamp Luck of the Irish. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir colored pencils, blended with their Gemsol. Next, I used two flowers from my stash with a pink gemstone in their center. Behind them is rafia tied into a bow.
For the background, I used Recollections green card stock and a Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. The sentiment was stamped with Staz-On Forest Green ink and Tim Holtz "Saying Stuff" stamp set.
This project put me a bit out of my comfort zone, since I had not done much coloring in a few years, but it was alot of fun!
So have fun with the challenge and check out The Cute As A Button Facebook page.
Happy crafting!

Go for the Green!
Hi everyone!
It's that time of year, but my post this time isn't St. Patty related except for the color green. Love my Tic Tac Toe card, and it's done in some summer papers, but with lots of green. COME ON, SPRING!!
I really enjoyed putting this one together. The paper pad was Melon Patch by Craft Smith, I used black and white card stock by Recollections, Archival black ink and My Sentiments Exactly! Y500 Handwritten Sentiments. The squares are 1" and 1 1/2". Pretty easy, right? Those are placed evenly towards the top of the patterned paper that sits on black card stock. Again, one of my favorites! Make one of these, you will really like it. 😁

Anything Goes!
Hi everyone!
Hope your Monday is going great (for a Monday anyway 😛) What I have going on today is a stamped Santa tag. Just feels like Winter is never going to end, so let's make the best of it, shall we?
So this tag is loaded with common supplies, so you probably already have most of them in your stash. Just remember, you don't have to always use everything I did. When I see a project someone else has made, I generally look at the supply list and think to myself, "I have this, but I don't have that, even so, I can use this instead." After all, paper crafting has a never ending supply list. I often think about what I have in my sewing box and tool box that I can use! Don't stop there! Look in your office supply drawer, you will be surprised at what you find!
This project supply list includes:
White cs
Patterned paper (found in my Christmas stash)
Stamp is Santa Collage by Rubber Stampede, snowflake stamp about 3/4" diameter
Ranger tag #8
Tim Holtz Metal Trinket Pins Stamped with Words and Numbers
Small black washer from the tool box
Small "believe" stamp and white embossing powder, embossing pad
Ranger Black Soot Distress Ink, Archival Black Ink
Mark Richards Red Mosaic Crystal Stickers (4)
Tonic Studios Paper Distresser
Dimensionals
Ribbon, string
Adhesive
First, I distressed the tag with the distress tool, and inked the edges to the inner of the tag with Black Soot ink. Next I used Black Archival Ink to stamp the Santa Collage onto the white card stock. Then I stamped the snowflakes onto the patterned paper with Archival Ink, also stamping off the paper. Adhere the white card stock to the patterned paper, then both to the tag. Feed the washer onto the metal trinket pin. Adhere dimensionals on the back of the trinket pin and place onto the patterned paper on the right side toward the top. Wrap the string around the tag several times, feeding through the trinket pin and then tie it off on the right side of the tag. Place the mosaic stickers on each corner of the patterned paper and put ribbon through the hole of the tag and tie off. You can also back the tag with some chipboard or card board to strengthen and keep it from warping.
And that's it! Simple Christmas tag ready for a scrapbook or to hang on your tree. It's a great project for a time when you are idle and need to create something awesome! And if you like my projects, please feel free to follow my blog!
Happy crafting!

Christmas Cards
Hi everyone!
I am doing a challenge using a sketch or page map. These are great if you are not sure how to place things on your cards or scrapbook pages and can enable you to create a great project with little effort. Of course, your project does not have to be exact, the sketches help you for placement of your sentiment, embellishments or papers. Here is the page map for the challenge: As you can see, these sketches can help with a good many things, also sometimes including color matching. Here is my card:
Hoping you will try using sketches or page maps. They are a great help to make your creation come out better than what you think it will!
Happy crafting!
Denise
