Stamp happy birthday to you on the 2x2"green card stock. Round the corners. Butt together the rest of the green card stock and the light blue card stock on the card, adhere down. These two together should measure 4x 5 1/4".
I popped up the sun on dimensionals and placed it in the upper left corner. Place the bench on the lower part of the card and set Deacon on the bench. Place the happy birthday to you under the bench by Deacon.
The hardest part was coloring Deacon and the bench. Not bad to bring together at all.

A Pretty Anniversary Card
Hi everyone!
Back with another Anniversary card, probably my favorite to date.
This classic gate fold card done with hearts and golden arrows is so cute. I used some dies I bought from Wish.com. It also had a swirl line that I also used on the card. Here is what else I used:
Recollections pink card stock 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, and some scraps
Recollections white card stock 3 5/16 x 4 5/8
Galentine's paper pad by Recollections- XOXO 5 3/8 x 1 7/8 (2) 5 1/4 x 4 (1)
Galentine's paper pad by Recollections- Hearts with Arrows 5 3/8 x 1 7/8 (2)
Recollections Gold (shiny) paper 3 1/2 x 4 1/2
1" paper punch
Flatback white pearl
Happy Anniversary Stamp (Wish.com)
Archival Ink- Vibrant Fuchsia
Scoreboard
Die Cutting Machine
Paper Trimmer
Adhesive
Score the pink card stock at 2 1/8 & 6 3/8, longest side at the top, fold score lines. Set aside. Cut XOXO paper and Hearts and Arrows paper. Adhere Hearts and Arrows paper to the front flaps of the card. On the inside, adhere the XOXO papers.
Ink and stamp on the white card stock then adhere to the center inside of the card.
With the 1" circle punch, punch out a circle from the shiny gold paper and set aside. With die cutting machine, cut out the flower and ribbon die and the flower without the ribbon in pink, then the flower without the ribbon in shiny gold, along with the swirl if desired. ( I put the swirl on the right side of the front flap for interest and more shiny gold! Now put the flower dies on top of the flower and ribbon die and glue together. Adhere the flat back pearl in the center. Adhere the flowers in the center of the 1" circle. Put glue on the left side of the back of the circle and adhere it to the right flap of the card, with the half that has no glue overlapping the left flap of the front. Then if you like the swirl, add it as well.
Done! Love this one and the beautiful shiny gold!
Happy crafting!

Crafty Creations # 392
Hi everyone!
It's that time again! Crafty Creation s Challenge # 392! Here is what I did with this months digi.
I like this one very much. Here is what I used:
Tombow markers- 933 Orange, 925 Scarlet, 025 Lt Orange
EK Success Memory Pencils- Wedding White, Smoke
Copic C3, B00
Leaf die
Green Recollections cardstock
Hobby Lobby blues on a wood patterned paper 3.75 x 5
Blue Recollections cardstock 4 x 5.25
White Recollections cardstock 8.5 x 5.5 folded in half
White Recollections cardstock 7/8 x 3.75
Happy Anniversary Stamp from Wish.com
Jot pop up stickers from Dollar Tree- small, green
Digi stamp from our sponsor Morgan
First I colored the digi butterfly from Morgans Artworld, btw, this image is so sweet and delicate, using the Light Orange pencil all over, and then shaded with the 933 Orange along the left side of the butterfly. With the Scarlet Tombow, I shaded even darker just on the inside of the left of the butterfly and just a few whips of the Copic C3. Along the right side of the butterfly, outside the coloring line, I used a bit of Copic B00. With the Wedding White EK Success colored pencil, I did a few highlights on the center of the butterfly. I added a little of the Smoke colored pencil on the left part of the butterfly.
Cut the blue paper and layer it with the Hobby Lobby patterned paper and put the butterfly in the upper left corner.
Stamp Happy Anniversary on the small piece of white cardstock and adhere to the lower section of the Hobby Lobby patterned paper. Place the Jot pop up stickers on it. Adhere to the patterned paper then adhere to the card. Voila!!
Happy crafting!!

Bee Hive Card
Hi everyone!
This next card is a colorful and detailed one. It has no title, so use it however you like.
How fun is this?!
Here is what I used:
Bees and Hive Die Set- Wish.com
Leaf die set- Wish.com
White Recollections card stock- 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 and some scraps
Black Recollections card stock- 4 x 5 1/4 and some scraps
Yellow Recollections card stock- 3 3/4 x 5
Ink Blending Tool and pad
First, I made the background with the yellow card stock and the Dried Marigold Distress Ink, using the Ink Blending Tool and pad. I used quite a bit of ink, so I sat it aside to dry.
I then cut out the beehive, 2 bees, flowers and leaves. After deciding the placement of all the pieces, I inked the edges of the flowers. then I glued down all the pieces. Lastly, I used the Diamond Stickles on the bee's wings.
After allowing it to dry, I adhered the yellow beehive page to the black card stock, then to the card.
And that's another project completed!
Happy crafting!

Penny's Paper Doll
Hi everyone!
My card club this month had a challenge making a card with Graphic 45's Penny's Paper Dolls. I am a huge fan of Graphic 45 papers and will be doing more posts with other papers of theirs. But first, here is this one.
I did some fussy cutting on this card (patting self on the back) I am not a fan of the fussy cut. I cut out the stamp, the doll and the sentiment, as well as her dress and hat. This card measures 8.5 x 5.5. Here is what you will need:
Graphic 45 Penny's Paper Dolls, 1 sheet, front and back
Back of the Graphic 45 sheet- cut 8 1/8 x 4 3/4
Ranger Distress Inks- Black Soot, Frayed Burlap, Old Paper
Tim Holtz Distress Tool
Ink Blending Tool & Pads
White card stock- 8.5 x 11
Fussy cut the stamp, sentiment, doll dress and hat. I cut out the tabs on the dress, folded them back and put some adhesive on the back of the dress and put it on the paper doll as you normally would.
Cut out the hat and the slit to put her head through. Adhere it to the doll. Place them all on the back side of the Graphic 45 paper cut at 8 1/8 x 4 3/4 as shown.
Distress the edges of the card and ink the distressed edges with Old Paper Distress ink, then Frayed Burlap and finally Black Soot. Adhere the rest to the front of the card. Fini!! Simple and easy.
Happy crafting!!

I Heart Kentucky Refrigerator Magnets
Hi everyone!
This project is one that I made for a craft fair coming up. The Kentucky items I have done in the past seem to do nicely, so here is one of them.
I used my Cricut cutting machine for these, but there are many layers, 5 of each for the heart and the state. They were fun to make, so here it is.
Here is what I used:
Recollections red cs
Recollections #110 black cs
Recollections blue cs
Recollections #110 white cs
Amber gemstones from Michael's
Uncharted 4.5 x 6.5 paper pad by The Paper Studio by Hobby Lobby
Plastic Sleeves from Clear Bags.com B4x5 4 1/4 x 5 1/8
Wet glue
Glue Dots
magnets
On my Cricut I set the hearts to cut at 2 1/4" tall by 3" wide. For EACH heart I cut 4 of the #110 black cs and 1 from the red cs.
For the state, cut at 1 3/4" tall by 3" wide. I cut 4 of the #110 white cs and 1 of the blue cs. There is a star that cuts out where the state capital is. Since the star didn't cut well, I simply applied the amber gemstone there.
Layer all the pieces together with the red on top of the heart and the blue on top of the state, adhere with a wet glue. Glue the state to the heart and then glue a magnet to the back.
Cut the Unchartered paper to 4x5. I used a glue dot to stick the magnets to the paper. Slide them into the plastic sleeve.
They took a bit of time to glue the layers together, but overall, a simple project.
Happy crafting!

Coffee Sleeve Mini
Hi everyone!
Hope your Memorial Day weekend was a blast! Here is a new project made with coffee sleeves.
I didn't make this for Valentine's Day, although it sure would be appropriate. I made it because I liked the papers and the colors. My papers are a miss-match of different ones I had in my scrap stash. All of mine are different Valentine's Day papers.
What I used:
4 Coffee Sleeves
Acrylic paints ( I used Americana Lavender and Joann Craft Essentials Leaf Green )
1 piece of light weight chipboard or cardboard cereal box 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
Lime green paper 2 1/2 x 2 1/2
Coordinating patterned papers 2 1/4 x 2 1/4 (3)
Pink sugar dot gems (2)
Red heart gem (1) JoAnns
Pink and purple twine ( Doodlebug Design )
Pink and purple floss ( DMC )
Red foil heart stickers (3) American Greetings
Patterned papers for pages & tags 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 (2), 2 x 1 3/4 (4), 2 x 1 1/2 (3- I used cut a parts from a 6x6 pad- Be Mine by Pebbles) and some from my scraps, and 5 x 2 1/4 (5)
Cropadile or hole punch
Wet adhesive
Bone folder
First, cut one sleeve on one end and painted it with the Lavender acrylic paint, then cut one sleeve on one end and painted it and the other two with the Leaf Green. This may take 2 or 3 coats. Allow to dry thoroughly. With Cropadile, punch 4 holes in one end of the sleeves, and of the ones that are cut at one end, punch holes in the other end.
Assemble together by having the lavender sleeve on the outside of the mini, then the two green uncut sleeves with the green cut one in the center. Glue the bottoms of the two green pages that have not been cut, making a pocket. Thread pink twine through two of the four holes and tie into a bow, then do the same with the other two holes. I applied a dab of adhesive to the centers of the bows to keep them tied. I used a bone folder to fold back the pages and scored the pages as well so they would open easier.
Make 5 tags 5 x 2 1/4 with patterned paper. I made them twice as long so I could fold them and have a double- sided tag. I glued mine to make them stiffer. Punch a hole in the tops and thread twine through the holes and tie off. On 3 of my tags I used both colors of twine and alternated the other color of floss to tie bows onto the twine, along with threading the I, heart and U beads onto the floss before tying into a bow.
Place the two tags in the first green pocket page and the other three in the back pocket page, with the I, heart and U in this order facing. Decorate your pages with the rest of the papers and stickers.
I think this little mini is just adorable! I wasn't sure it was going to turn out this good, but I sure was happily surprised! This was so fun to put together.
Happy crafting!

Life Is A Garden
Hi everyone!!
Hoping your week is going well so far. I have a new card that, hopefully, opens up the door to Summer. This card is going to my sister who lives out of state and I sure hope she likes it. She is the one with the green thumb, not me for sure!
I got the inspiration ( I basically scrap lifted ) from Stephanie at Stamps of Life. She did a similar card, and this is her stamp set for the May stamp set of the month, which I am enjoying!
Here is what I used:
Stamps of Life Garden 2 Stamp set
Copic Markers- YG06, B00, B93, G21, R32, R46
Archival Ink- black (I should have used another ink, found that the alcohol markers make this ink smear)
Distress Inks- Mermaid Lagoon, Peeled Paint and Lemonade
Recollections cs- white, 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, 3 3/4 x 5, 2 x 1 1/2 ( 1 sheet of 8 1/2 x 11 will cover what you need
Recollections cs- blue 4 x 5 1/4
Small clear gemstones (I could have gone smaller with these)
Tim Holtz Blending tool and foam pad
Pop ups or dimensionals
I started with the piece of white paper ( 3 3/4 x 5 ) to do my stamping and background. For the background I used a piece of scrap paper that I cut scallops on and made a template for the clouds. With Distress Ink Mermaid Lagoon, I tapped the color onto the paper with the Tim Holtz Ink Blending Tool and a foam pad. I cut a 1" circle from another scrap paper and used it to make the sun with Lemonade Distress Ink. Then I used Peeled Paint to make the grass.
I used the 3 flower stamps and the watering can stamp from the stamp set and colored them with the Copic markers, cut them out or use the coordinating dies. Use dimensionals to pop them up on the card. I then stamped the sentiment on the 2 x 1 1/2 piece of white cs and also popped it up on the upper left corner. Apply the gemstones as the water drops coming from the watering can.
What a cute card! I just love it!
Happy crafting y'all!

Superman
Hi everyone!
This project is not a card, but a sign. It takes a bit more time and effort, but with great results.
Here's what I used:
Cricut
Black, red, yellow and blue cs.
I purchased the Superman logo SVG on Etsy.
Wooden board from Hobby Lobby @16x21
Strong adhesive
I used my Cricut to cut out the letters, logo and stars. I cut them at 1 1/2" and used the Franklin Gothic font for the black letters and the Engravers MT font for the blue ones.
The size of the stars are as for the black star is 3 3/4" and for the yellow stars is 3 1/2".
The size of the logo is @ 4 1/4 or on the Cricut mat it is 4.127x 5.5.
The spacing just depends on the size of your sign. This one was, I believe, 21 inches tall. I spaced them about 3/4" between the lines and then same amount of space on each side of the lines.
I have made two of these so far, one for my hubby's office and one for a friend to give to her husband. I have all letters, stars and logo saved in my Cricut Design Space, so they are there if I need them again. I definitely used a ruler to keep my letters nicely leveled.
Make one, you will love it!
Happy crafting!

hello
Hi everyone!
Hope all is well. This card has another really cool and simple technique called the Faux Torn Paper Technique. This is one I found on Ingrid Blackburn's Channel onYouTube. Easy with great results.
I applied this technique on top of the card base, but you can do it on a 3.75 x 5 piece of white card stock and mat with a black piece of 4x 5 1/4 card stock.
Here is what you will need:
White cs 8 1/2 x 5 1/2, and 3 3/4 x 5
Black cs 4 x 5 1/4
Choice of ink ( I used Stampin Up Tangerine Tango)
Any background stamp ( I used an Inkadinkado stamp)
White cs for the letters that spell hello ( I used my Scan N Cut to cut out hello)
or you can use white letters and stamp on top of those.
Use Ingrid's video to make the card and do the Faux Torn Paper Technique. It's fast and really makes a statement. Continue watching the video for more techniques you may want to try.
Happy crafting!

Got Milk?
Hi everyone, welcome back!
Well, here's a cute card if I have ever seen one, thanks to Dawn Griffith of Dawn's Stamping Thoughts. The link is to the video to make this card.
The cow is a digital image from bugaboostamps.com It's on sale right now so check them out. Here's what you will need:
Solid color card stock ( I used Recollections red) 7x 9 1/2
White card stock (I used Recollections #65) 3 1/4x5 (2) and 3 1/4x 3 1/4, and to print the digi stamp on.
Patterned paper to match 3x5
Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Ten, 2 dies, one smaller than the other
Bugaboo digi stamp, one of your choice or a physical stamp and ink
Copic markers R43 and 100 (Pink and Black)
Wink of Stella Dk Pink
Paper Trimmer
Score Board
First I printed the digi stamp at 3 1/2" tall. I colored the spots with Copic 100 then the nose and udders with R43. I re-colored the nose and udders with the pink Wink of Stella. The cow now has sparkly nose and udders!
I used the smaller die to cut around the cow image, then cut the next bigger size with red card stock.
Watch Dawn's video to assemble the card. It's such a cute one!
Happy crafting!

Shark!
Welcome back everyone!
Hope your week was awesome! Finally, the sun is out and the weather is more like Spring.
Well I have an interesting card tonight, a fun technique. Get out that texture paste and a cool stencil, and let's get busy.
You will need:
Texture paste (I used Martha Stewart Brand)
a Stencil (I used the shark from a set of 25 white stencils with a Nautical theme)
Glimmer Mist (I used Creme de Chocolat)
Heidi Swapp Color Shine (I used Teal) by Pink Paislee
Alcohol Pearls Kit #2 - Tranquil and Sublime
Alcohol Blending Solution
Alcohol Inking Tool and pad
Black Diamond Stickles
Palette Knife
Recollections black card stock (I used #110 because I had a scrap just the right size) 4x 5 1/4
Recollections white card stock 8 1/2x 5 1/2 + a piece about 5x6
Adhesive
I first applied texture paste on the shiny side of my paper stencil to a piece of white card stock, about
5x6. I took my palette knife and make 3 "gills" on the shark then allowed this to dry over night.
I applied both colors of the alcohol pearls along with the blending solution, to the pad on the alcohol inking tool and applied color to the paper around the stenciled shark, getting as close to the shark and the edge of the paper as I could.
Then I used Heidi Swapp's Color Shine in Teal to the top part of the shark. With a folded piece of paper, I covered the top of the shark about 1/2 inch under the top fin. I sprayed the center part of the shark with Glimmer Mist Creme de Chocolat. Then I sprayed some of the teal Color Shine on my mat and with a wooden stick (or you can use a cotton swab) I applied some of the color on the top, the edge of the tail, gills, and the two bottom fins. I let this dry a bit and used Black Diamond Stickles for the shark's eye.
I let this dry for a couple of hours and cut to fit the piece of black card stock, then adhered it to the white card base.
Texture paste is a real treat to work with, and meanwhile I am making covers for 2 journals with this same technique. I will have a post on those at a later date.
Happy crafting!
Denise

a Stencil (I used the shark from a set of 25 white stencils with a Nautical theme)

Hello, Spring!
Hello everyone!
It's finally here. Planting flowers, cutting grass, sneezing and allergies. But hey, it gets us closer to Summer fun!
I made this simple card for Spring.
It has painted chipboard pieces as a focal point and a simple saying stamp.
The supplies I used are:
Recollections White cs, 8 1/2x 5 1/2, folded in half
Red patterned paper from the Summer Dream Stack by DCWV, 4x 5 1/4
Plaid paper from Le Bebe (I believe it was Paper Studios, because I got it at Hobby Lobby) paper pad. 1x4
Recollections red cs, 3 1/4x 2 1/2
Recollections white cs, 3x 2 1/4
Studio 18 chipboard shapes
Stampin' Up Circle of Spring Stamp Set
Memento Lady Bug Ink
I think the card is easy to follow without much instruction. On the chipboard pieces and the stamp, Hello Spring, I used the Lady Bug Ink. Just a coat or two is all it took, and it dried very quickly. This is a fast card for any occasion you might need!

Falcon Fan?
Hi everyone!
Welcome back, today's post is a project I made for my sister-in-law, Beth. She is a HUGE Atlanta Falcons fan, so I made her some refrigerator magnets with those birds on them!
Okay, how cute are these? I used regular sized clothespins, Recollections #110 black card stock, Recollections #65 white card stock, white acrylic paint, Krylon Spray adhesive, Stampendous Ultra Fine Red Glitter, Stickles Xmas Red Glitter Glue, E6000 glue, and Darice Black Gemz.
I went online to find the falcon, sized it to about 1 1/4x 1 1/2, printed 15 on a sheet of white card stock, ran it through my Scan N Cut to cut them out. No fussy cutting here! Then I loaded #110 Black card stock into my Scan N Cut and cut them again. I stacked 3 white Falcon pieces onto 2 black pieces. It makes them very sturdy. I painted the clothespins white, took about 3 coats. Be sure to cover the sides of the clothespin when you use the spray adhesive so that the glitter wont stick to the sides. Spray with the adhesive and sprinkle the glitter on top. I was thinking of skipping this step and just using red glitter glue instead, but I will next time I make these. I ran glitter glue on the red that is on the Falcon and one the eyes, I used silver. I finished it off with the Gemz and adhered magnets to the backs with E6000 glue. I let these dry for a good 24 hours, just to be safe.
I am super excited about making more of these, I really love them! What would you put on your clothespins?
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy crafting,
Denise

The Bride
Hi everyone!
Today is a simple card that would be good for, I think, a Bridal Shower. Easy to make, but turned out really pretty. The digital image is from The Paper Shelter.
Once again, trying out the coloring technique, reminding myself of shading and art class in school. I popped her up with 3M foam tape, along with paper flowers by Recollections, DMC embroidery floss # 700 green, yellow and white card stock, ("The Bride" was printed on my computer), with green ribbon under the white card stock, then green sugar gems from my stash. All this was mounted on a #110 white card stock, yellow card stock 5.25 x 4, and a pretty Peacock White paper by Paper Wishes, 3.75 x 5.
Let's take a closer look at the gems, you gotta see the sparkle!
I am loving this card. Hope this gives you some good ideas for a project. Thanks for stopping by!

Keep Up the Pace
Hi everyone!
I have a new project that is out of my comfort zone. It's coloring. I have not done that in years, but I got some alcohol markers and used a few watercolor markers as well. I was always bad about coloring outside the lines, but I think I was not very disciplined. Now I am catching on to taking more time, and it helps!
It ended up being alot of fun. You should try this if you have not already. I would love to read comments about your experiences, what markers you use or if you stick to pencils.
I used Copics Skin Tones Set and Tombow Watercolor markers, my Cricut to cut the music notes, washi tape with tennis shoes across the center under my image, Recollections red, white and kraft card stock. The image is from The Paper Shelter. How cute is that?
Have fun with your projects!
Happy crafting,
Denise

We Improve With Wine
Hi everyone!
When I first joined a group of card makers, I made this card with a set of stickers that were passed out to do a challenge with, so I made this card.
The paper pad I used for this is called Candy Retro. LOVE this paper and it's almost gone now. The grape vine came from a google I did online. The doily is from the Dollar Tree, and the green dot ribbon, as well as the lavender paper is Recollections. The tag is one I made and used a corner punch on the top. Finally the sticker set is called Bon Appetite. There was not a stamp set and ink used, I did this on my computer.
I think the card is pretty self- explanatory, so I won't do a step by step tutorial. But this card came out super cute, love it!
Happy crafting!

Mini Legal Pad Cover
Hi everyone!
Hoping your week has been awesome! Spring is trying to peek in and we have had a couple of nice days this week, only to be waken up at 7:30 this morning to a tornado alert, grrr.
But here is a Spring project, a mini legal pad cover, simple to make.
Please note that I used Sticky Back Canvas, (Ranger, as well as Claudine Hellmuth makes this product) for my spine. It's more flexible and unlike paper, does not crack. Here is what you will need.
Supplies:
Sticky back canvas, or a thin card stock, ChipBoard, Patterned paper, matching solid card stock, mini legal pad, adhesive, paper trimmer
This is the YouTube video I make mine by: My Serenity Crafts
Here are the measurements of what you need:
Covers: 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Chipboard (2)
Cover paper: 6 x 10 Card stock or patterned paper
Inside paper: 8 1/4 x 11 1/4 Patterned paper
Pocket: 5 1/2x 5 1/2 coordinating paper
Top of the mini legal pad: 2 x 5 patterned paper _ When adhering this to the top of the pad, I line up the edges on the front of the pad, glue it, then roll the paper to the back side, press down to bend the paper and adhere to the back of the top of the pad.
Sleeve: 4 x 8 card stock (for behind the mini legal pad)
Spine: Sticky Back Canvas: 3 x 10
These are fun and easy projects to make, so you will make a few for gifts and definitely one or more for yourself!
Happy crafting!

Page Maps
Hi everyone!
This post is about a Becky Fleck site called Page Maps. For those of us who struggle when making scrapbook pages, as well as cards, this place is for us. Not going to wait to give you the link, so here it is pagemaps. Your pages will be much more balanced when using these.
First, I love these cute little farm house design paper that were a dollar a pack. I have had them for quite awhile, so I am not exactly sure where I bought them, but I sure remember they were a dollar a pack, from a dollar bin.
I used:
Design paper, cs to match- Recollections, Kraft cs, Recollections, patterned paper to match. Of course, a paper trimmer and adhesive.
I built the main part of the card with design paper cut to 3.5x2, then the kraft paper to 3.75x2.25, then the other patterned paper to 2.5x4. The sheet of kraft paper that goes behind the main part is cut at 1.5x3.25. And the colored cs underneath it all is cut at 4x5.25.
These card maps make it so easy to do your work, it's all thought out for you.
Here is another card, the same mapping:
In closing, you can see how the same map can come out a bit differently just by using different papers. Also, you can flip the map if you want to make a wide card.
I enjoy using these maps and find it so easy, I can get more inspired to create more work.
Happy crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge # 388
Hi everyone! 😃
It's that time again! Check out this challenge with our Design Team this go around. This month's sponsor is leannsworld101. The Team has more fantastic inspirations for you, so check us out at craftycreationschallenges #388 and have a bit of fun with us!
This month, along with Kate at the Beach digi stamp, I used Tombow water based dual markers #173&195 green, #969&026 brown, #452 blue, #845 orange. On a pallet, I took my similar colored markers and applied to the pallet and mixed until I liked what came out. I am trying to get better with coloring, shading and choosing the colors. was able to get better blending this way too.
I also used white Recollections card stock and a green to blue colored paper from Recollections paper pad On the Bright Side. The flower is Recollections, a black pen from Zig, and the scraps are from my stash.
Again, I used the blue for the sky and a scrap piece of paper I tore to shape clouds. I laid the paper in several places on the background and used the brush end of the marker to outline the clouds.
This was a fun project and a bit out of my comfort zone, but I am happy with the results. I know where I need to work at getting better, so hopefully next time, there will be a noticeable difference.
We know what they say about practice! 😁
Y'all, I broke down and bought my first set of Copic markers, although I said I never would. Trying the skin tones first, to get a better result there. I will let you know!

Nail Art
Hello everyone!
I tried my hand at some nail art with my Cricut. They came out really cute and I was pleasantly surprised. The images were coming out very small, then I thought, well yeah, they would have to be.
These bunnies were almost too big, just barely fit on my longest nail, but the rest of these were just perfect.
My Cricut was set with images at .25. They stick nicely. The adhesive was not permanent, so I was worried about sticking, but it did just fine on a bare nail and no polish!
You can cut alot of these and using transfer tape, I blew these out in no time!
Happy crafting!

Easter!!
Hey everyone!
What a great time of the year! Spring is here and Lent leads to all the wonderful Friday Night Fish Frys! The sun is out and some of the flowers are peeking up through the ground. Renewal, my favorite time of year.
I have an Easter project for you. It did involve my Cricut, but I am sure YouTube has many videos on making paper baskets. So here it is:
Supplies:
Basic ones- scissors, glue or adhesive, tweezers
I used Recollections cs from Michael's,(white, purple, pink, yellow, brown and eggshell), flat backed pearls from China, wiggle eyes from my stash, Wilton treat sticks (Michael's), Tim Holtz rosette die, Big Shot, Cricut Easter basket, bunny, chick and rabbit, scalloped circles. (If you have punches and /or dies, you can certainly use those)
First I ran the rosette die and 4 colors of cs through the Big Shot and made the rosettes. Then cut the scalloped circles and animals (I cut two of the animals for each rosette and glued together to give more strength) with the Cricut Design Space software. Depending on the size of the scalloped circles, I cut a plain circle in the same color as the rosette slightly smaller than the scallop. That circle finishes off the back. adhere the rosette to the front of the scallop. Decorate the critters and adhere to the front of the rosette. Add the treat stick with glue to a fold inside the rosette. You can tie ribbon to the stick.
The basket was cut with my Cricut in Design Space, as was the rabbit and the grass. I assembled the basket and I cut 4 pieces of the grass in 2 colors of green and layered them on the front of the basket. Decorate the bunny and adhere to the front.
Put the rosettes in the basket! Fun times!!
Happy crafting,
Denise

Hope your week is going great so far. I have an interesting card that was a bit of a challenge, but came out really cute! It's called a Twisted Gatefold Card.
This will fit in an A7 size envelope, perhaps a bit larger. What a good challenge for folding, and I needed the practice!
Supplies I used:
Recollections card stock- white and paper pads Festive Pinks and Pink Champagne
The flower and pearl are from my stash
The stamp and ink are Newborn Baby by Stampendous and Archival Ink in Vibrant Fushia
The YouTube video I used for this card is:
Here is the inside of the card:
Beautiful all occasion card. Check out the video and make one of these, and remember the folds should be as spot on as you can make them. It ensures your card will fold just right.Have fun and happy crafting!

Crafty Creations Challenge # 386
Hi everyone!
It's challenge time! There's a Design Team challenge for you that features our sponsor Cute as a Button Stamps. The design team has come up with a few inspirational creations of our own for you to check out. Head on over to Challenge #386 to get ready!
For this card I used this darling digi stamp Luck of the Irish. I colored the image with Spectrum Noir colored pencils, blended with their Gemsol. Next, I used two flowers from my stash with a pink gemstone in their center. Behind them is rafia tied into a bow.
For the background, I used Recollections green card stock and a Cuttlebug Argyle embossing folder. The sentiment was stamped with Staz-On Forest Green ink and Tim Holtz "Saying Stuff" stamp set.
This project put me a bit out of my comfort zone, since I had not done much coloring in a few years, but it was alot of fun!
So have fun with the challenge and check out The Cute As A Button Facebook page.
Happy crafting!
